Installation Compliance Terms & Conditions

1. Purpose

These Installation Compliance Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the responsibilities and compliance obligations of any installer (contractor or subcontractor) engaged to perform skylight or sun tube installation jobs on behalf of Skylights.co.nz, including all associated documentation and verification requirements.

2. Scope

These Terms apply to any job issued by Skylights.co.nz where:

The job is assigned via the Skylights platform.
An installer has been instructed to complete documentation via the Installer Compliance Module.
A site visit or installation is scheduled or undertaken.

3. Mandatory Compliance Checklist

Installers are required to complete the Installation Compliance Form as part of every job. This includes:

Job Details: Confirm address, date, and product type.
Pre-Start Safety Checklist:
- PPE worn (e.g., gloves, glasses, harness).
- Site hazards checked and noted.
- Weather conditions assessed and deemed safe.
- Site photo uploaded.
Installation Process Compliance
All installation steps must be marked as complete through the platform interface. Installers are required to:
- Upload photos at each step (e.g., roof prep, flashing, product placement, sealing, interior finishing)
- Follow product guidelines provided by the supplier
- Add notes if any deviations or complications with brief notes
Customer Sign-Off:
- Customer must sign digitally to confirm satisfaction.
- Optional: Installer may add notes for context (e.g., product variations, delays).
Final Confirmation:
- Tick final review checklist.
- Submit all data via the provided Skylights link.

4. Customer Acknowledgement (Remote Installations)

In cases where the customer is not present at the time of installation:

The installer must still complete the full documentation process, including all photo uploads and final checklist.
Instead of digital customer sign-off, the installer must include:
A note confirming no customer was present
A brief summary of the completed work (e.g., ‘Installed Solatube 250mm unit in kitchen, ceiling cut-out completed, flashing sealed.’)
Skylights.co.nz will follow up with the customer directly post-installation to confirm satisfaction.

Uploaded in a timely manner (on the same day of install, unless otherwise agreed).

5. Truthfulness & Accuracy

All information and photographic evidence submitted must be:

Accurate and truthful.
Taken from the actual job site.
Uploaded in a timely manner (on the same day of install, unless otherwise agreed).

6. Privacy & Customer Consent

Installers are responsible for:

Ensuring no personally identifying information is included in images (unless essential for documentation).

7. Safety Responsibility

While Skylights.co.nz provides this documentation process, it does not relieve the installer of any safety obligations. Installers must:

Comply with all relevant New Zealand health & safety legislation.
Operate with appropriate licenses and certifications.

Skylights.co.nz is not liable for any incidents resulting from non-compliance with safety protocols.

8. Data Ownership & Use

All data submitted through the Installation Compliance Form becomes part of the official job record.
Skylights.co.nz reserves the right to review, audit, and store this data for internal quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
Data may be shared with homeowners or regulatory authorities upon request.

9. Failure to Comply

Non-compliance with these terms may result in:

Withholding of payment.
Disqualification from future jobs.
Suspension or termination of access to the Skylights installer system.

10. Amendments

These T&Cs may be updated or revised periodically. Installers will be notified via email or dashboard notification when significant changes occur.

11. Acknowledgement

By proceeding with the assigned job and submitting documentation via the Skylights Compliance Form, the installer acknowledges:

They have read and understood these terms.
They agree to be bound by them.
